At Werling & Sons, we love seasoned pork. It’s the perfect meat for any meal – although we’re partial to eating it for lunch or dinner – pork can be combined with an array of side dishes for a delicious meal!
In light of our love for pork, here are three pork-centered meals for anyone to enjoy!
Pork Tacos
A twist on the classic beef taco, a shredded-pork filled taco is just as good, if not better than some seasoned beef options. A lighter taste, and you can add all the toppings!
Here’s our super simple recipe for pork tacos:
- Shredded seasoned pork
- Taco shells (hard or soft)
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
- Mashed avocado (guacamole)
- Black beans
- Sour cream
- Shredded cheese
- Hot sauce to taste
In the taco shell, add all the ingredients (or the ones you like) and top with the shredded pork!
Easy, yet tasty!
Shredded Pork Sandwich
There’s something so finger-licking good about a shredded pork sandwich – with or without the BBQ sauce! We enjoy having our sandwiches topped with coleslaw and served with a side of baked beans. If the coleslaw on top doesn’t sound appealing, go ahead and put it on the side – we won’t judge you!
Here’s a recipe we haven’t tried YET, but it sure looks yummy! And with our canned pork, you are able to cut hours off the prep time!
Pork Nachos
We must admit, with summer upon us, we’re thinking about easy meals. Nachos aren’t only easy, but they’re a crowd pleaser. Similar to the pork tacos, substitute the beef or chicken you would put on your homemade nachos for some shredded pork.
We like our nachos fully loaded with:
- Tortilla chips (obviously!)
- At least three varieties of shredded melted cheeses
- Shredded pork
- Diced tomato
- Diced olives
- Diced jalapenos
In addition to these ingredients, we like to serve our pork nachos with a side of sour cream and a side of salsa.

These Pork recipes sound absolutely Fabulous! My guys love pork and in fact prefer a roasted pork loin than a beef roast any day of the week!
